Trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Judith Ripka launched her namesake label in 1977, building it on this exact combination of bold colored gemstones and heart motifs that became synonymous with her brand. Here, four pavé diamond hearts embrace a 15-carat kunzite at its corners, set into a grooved, ribbed texture weighty 14-karat white gold band that tapers under the finger. The gemstone is a soft lilac that pulls toward pink as the light shifts, and its checkerboard crown gives dimension and a soft disco shimmer. The Judith Ripka signature was removed during sizing, but the hearts and the grooved shank sign it well enough.
