Antique Edwardian 5 Carat Diamond & Sapphire Enamel Bangle Cuff Bracelet

An intricate bangle bracelet from the end of the Edwardian era, when the softness of the period was morphing into sleek, Art Deco geometry. Greek key openwork filigree runs through the pierced platinum, milgrained throughout and laid over gold, carrying 104 old European cut diamonds at 4.35 carats. Sixteen French calibré-cut sapphires are channeled through the design, each cut to order to fill its own slot, with a ground of rich cobalt blue enamel at the border. Beginning its life as a brooch, she was cleverly crafted and reimagined as a dramatic cuff bracelet sometime during her past life. We procured this heirloom from the estate of a Pasadena, California, estate jewelry collector.

Regular price$18,000.
